Tsubaki Oil is a natural oil made from the camellia flower and is used to prevent rust on carbon steel knives, which are commonly used in the making of traditional Japanese knives. This oil is a treatment to maintain the condition of your blade, including edge retention and preventing rust or stains from appearing.

To use the knife after the Tsubaki oil has been applied, even if the knife has been in storage and feels dry to touch, wash the knife under cold running water to remove any traces.
