Naniwa Sink Bridge:
This is regarded as the best sink bridge available by many. There are tons of reviews all over the internet claiming this is the best sink bridge.
Most people with whetstones (that worth a few hundred dollars) only have a flimsy rubber matt to keep their expensive stones in place, or to stop them from shattering from a fall.
This sturdy sink bridge allows you to sharpen your knives securely without making a mess.
Use this over a sink or even better still a hotel pan (gastro pan) filled with water!
Also great for your back to stop you from slouching.
With rubber stoppers at each end it will securely fit in most medium/large sinks. (If you want a smaller sink bridge, check out Tojiro Sink Bridge)
You should then secure your stone to the bridge and with the help of a stone holder sharpen your knives without brushing your knuckles.
A must for anyone who sharpens regularly.
Leigh's Advice:
1) If you have a Naniwa sink bridge you should use a stone holder.
2) Consider buying a cheap 1/1 gastro to provide comfort and extra height while sharpening and your back will thank you later.
