This is a fine polishing stone. Recommended for use in a stone progression after 1000-2000 grit stone.
By far some of the best stones on the market with the most versatile case I've seen.
The whetstone comes in a plastic case that also doubles as a stand! Also the case draining holes in the bottom for drying, post sharpening session.
Another quality Japanese product with great design.
Care Instructions
Do Shapton stones need to be soaked in water before use?
No, Shapton stones do not need to be soaked except the very first time after purchase. Shapton dose recommend that on first use, you pre-soak the stone in water for five to six minutes to secure even smoother sharpening.
